The partnership aims to expand LG Uplus's car infotainment business.
LG Uplus will leverage its infotainment development and operation expertise to enter the in-car game market.
The company will initially focus on simple, touch-based games suitable for short driving times.
Under the partnership, LG Uplus will be responsible for building and operating a game portal, while Mobrix will develop and supply games optimized for in-car use.
The two companies also plan to collaborate on payment system integration, global market entry, game subscription service development, and new IP (intellectual property) acquisition to secure a leading position in the next-generation in-car game market.
Mobrix is a mobile game developer with over 200 titles in its portfolio.
One of its flagship games Brick Breaker Quest has enjoyed popularity in various countries, including the US, France, India, and Egypt, surpassing 200 million cumulative downloads as of March 2023.
