Doosan Enerbility joins global fusion project ITER

South Korea’s Doosan Enerbility Co. will supply pressurizers to the global fusion project International Thermal Experimental Reactor (ITER) using what is dubbed “dream energy.”

The move is expected to greatly raise the company’s presence on the European market for main equipment used at nuclear power plants given Doosan’s meeting of the Continent’s famously tough standards.

Doosan on Sunday said it recently shipped a pressurizer for supply to ITER, which comprises seven countries including South Korea.

The device maintains the pressure of the heat exchange system installed on ITER and protects it from excessive pressure.
