South Korea’s LG Uplus Corp. is expanding benefits for subscribers of its online-exclusive prepaid plan Nugget, including offering Korean Air Lines Co. gift cards to those on a 50,000 won ($36.80) plan.
LG Uplus announced on Friday that it had signed a Business Agreement to provide Nugget Premium Airline Benefits jointly with Korean Air.
Through this collaboration, subscribers to the Nugget 5G 59 plan, which offers unlimited 5G data for 59,000 won ($43.40) per month, can choose a Korean Air gift card as one of their benefits. The gift card is provided monthly.
The gift card can be used to purchase international and domestic flights departing from Korea, for additional services such as excess baggage, paid seating, pet transportation, and purchases at the Korean Air brand goods shop, e-SkyShop.
Nugget is a communication platform based on prepaid plans. It offers a lineup of 18 different 5G plans, starting with the Nugget 5G 26 plan (26,000 won, or $19.10, per month, 6 GB of data), which is the cheapest 5G plan among the three major mobile carriers in South Korea.
