South Korea’s LG Uplus Corp. announced on Wednesday that it will support the smart city transformation of Hwasun-gun in South Jeolla Province, South Korea.
The company partnered with domestic data companies Nicezinidata and T-Bridge Corporation.
The three firms will provide consulting services to Hwasun-gun on tourism, culture, and transportation, leveraging their respective data.
LG Uplus will offer telecommunications-based population data, Nicezinidata will contribute consumer behavior and product purchase data, and T-Bridge Corporation will provide resident survey data.
Hwasun-gun aims to use this data to implement policies such as identifying peak tourist seasons for festival planning and developing strategies to revitalize traditional markets based on consumer data.
