Carrier launches large inverter air conditioner combining AI and inverter technology

Carrier Corp. announced on Monday that it will release a large inverter air conditioner, combining artificial intelligence (AI) and inverter technology, early next month.

It applies the world's first space-customized 18-stage air control, allowing precise adjustment of wind strength according to user preferences, space and situations.

With high-efficiency inverter technology, it measures minimal temperature changes according to indoor temperature, operating only as much as necessary, increasing energy efficiency by about 40%. It also provides a solution to optimally control indoor environments using various data based on AI technology.

Based on big data, it autonomously detects indoor temperatures, automatically selects operating modes and air volumes, and self-diagnoses operating conditions with AI self-diagnosis function, displaying abnormalities automatically on the display.

In addition, as the only product among its peers, it applies an inverter circuit refrigerant cooling system to the outdoor unit, enabling stable operation even at the highest outdoor temperature of 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit).

"We have equipped it with a four-season indoor air care function that can respond to various environmental issues such as climate change and fine dust, which have become global issues recently," said a Carrier official. "The combination of the 18-stage air control technology and AI technology will provide a customized solution for various customer demands."
