LG Electronics Inc. said on Monday that it has won a performance award from the Air-Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), a US trade group for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration, and water heating manufacturers, for the seventh consecutive year.
The South Korean electronics giant said it passed the performance evaluation for all 67 products tested by AHRI in seven product groups, including large-capacity system air conditioners (variable refrigerant flow) and energy recovery ventilators (ERV).
AHRI randomly selects and evaluates products from more than 350 global members through independent testing agencies such as Intertek Group PLC.
LG Electronics said its ERV, which won the award for the first time this year, filters outdoor air and supplies it indoors while reducing heat loss and saving energy costs.
“We will provide differentiated customer experiences that manage indoor air more comfortably while saving energy based on advanced air conditioning technology recognized in the global market,” said Lee Jae-sung, head of LG Electronics’ air solution business division.
