Doosan Enerbility Co., South Korea’s leading gas turbine maunfacturer for power plants, said on Thursday that it has secured a combined $1.5 billion worth of orders for two gas-fired power plants to be constructed in Saudi Arabia.

On Wednesday, it signed a $773.9 million contract with Rumal Energy Company for the Rumah 1 plant project and a $769.8 million order with Naseem Energy Company for the Nairyah 1 plant project.

Both facilities are combined cycle power plants, a more energy-efficient type of gas-fired power plant. They are scheduled to be completed by May 2028, according to Doosan’s regulatory filing.
