Samsung Electronics Co. will start offering the Galaxy Book4 Edge, a new addition to its latest flagship Galaxy Book4 laptop series and powered by both on-device and cloud artificial intelligence technologies, as well as Qualcomm’s AI PC-dedicated processors in Korea, the US and select European markets in mid-June.
The South Korean electronics giant on Tuesday unveiled the specifications of the Galaxy Book4 Edge, its most up-to-date AI PC backed by hybrid on-device and cloud AI processing integrations.
An AI PC is a machine capable of tackling AI workloads with a high-performance central processing unit and powerful graphics processing and neural processing units.
This is the first Galaxy laptop fitted with Microsoft Corp.’s generative AI Copilot+, and Samsung’s Galaxy AI, powered by its Gauss machine learning platform, bridges the use of on-device and cloud-based processing, enabling Galaxy Book4 Edge users to use Copilot+ features offline.
On-device AI enables AI to be processed directly on a mobile device without a network connection while guaranteeing strong security.
The Galaxy Book4 Edge runs on the Snapdragon X Elite processor with 45 TOPS NPU processing power, boasting highly efficient, four times faster AI processing.

“The Galaxy Book4 Edge expands our vision of AI connectivity — bridging the gap between mobiles and PCs, while democratizing AI experiences that change the way we operate each and every day,” TM Roh, president and head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, said in a news release.
EXPANDED CONNECTIVITY AND REAL-TIME TRANSLATION
The Galaxy Book4 Edge can use Galaxy AI features when connected to a Galaxy smartphone through the Link to Windows function.
Its Recall function enables users to quickly locate documents and files related to the task by using natural language.
The new laptop is also powered by Live Captions, which provides accurate English on-screen subtitles of 44 spoken languages in real time regardless of the application.
With Cocreator, Galaxy Book4 Edge users can create quality artwork as it uses AI to transform sketches and text into fine art. Its users simply need to input text prompts to create entirely new designs.

LONG BATTERY LIFE AND STRONG SECURITY
The new laptop boasts up to 22 hours of video playback time thanks to its all-day battery life and super-fast charging capability.
Its security is enhanced by Samsung Knox, Samsung’s defense-grade, multi-layer security platform, as well as the highest level of Windows 11 protection.
The Galaxy Book4 Edge is fitted with a premium Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and comes in two sizes – 14 and 16 inches.
They will be available in France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain, the UK and the US from June 18.
Its prices will be unveiled later.
In January, Samsung Electronics released the Galaxy Book4 Ultra, Pro and Pro 360 series powered by Intel Core Ultra 9 processors.
