LG Electronics Inc. announced on Thursday that the LG CLOi GuideBot "Qi" will be deployed as a curator at both the Gongju National Museum and National Assembly Museum in South Korea.

This guidebot will provide cultural commentary and directions to enhance the satisfaction of visitors who have had difficulty accessing cultural experiences.

To improve communication for visitors with poor hearing abilities, sign language commentary and subtitles will be shown, and dedicated routes will be provided for visitors with wheelchairs or strollers. Additionally, children will be able to enjoy various games using touch, as well as drag and drop in activities such as area expansion, quizzes and pattern matching.

The existing CLOi robot was installed with separate user environment software to mount the necessary control systems for the museum. This allows the robot to provide precise self-driving and forward and backward movement information.

"The LG CLOi guidebot will provide customized services to visitors who need help with accessibility, and will help all visitors to the museum to view exhibits more comfortably," said Noh Kyu-chan, executive director of LG Electronics' robot business unit.
