HD Hyundai Infracore gets 131 Develon orders from Saudi, Brazil

South Korea's HD Hyundai Infracore Co. announced on Wednesday that it has recently secured orders for 131 units of its own brand Develon excavators and wheel loaders in Saudi Arabia and Brazil.

HD Hyundai Infracore has signed supply contracts for 30 units of 53-ton excavators and 50 units of 42-ton wheel loaders, which will be deployed for the NEOM City project in Saudi Arabia. These contracts were made with local construction companies, Al Najaz and Nesma & Partners Contracting Company.

With this contract, the company has received orders for a total of 846 excavators and wheel loaders in Saudi Arabia this year, representing a 51.6% increase compared to the same period last year when they received orders for 558 units.

In Brazil, meanwhile, the company secured orders for 51 excavators due to increased demand driven by public infrastructure investment programs.

The order includes 22 units of 80-ton and 53-ton excavators for the State of Mato Grosso railway construction project, as well as 29 units of 14-ton medium-sized excavators for the State of Rio Grande do Sul public bidding project.

"We will take advantage of this latest order as a stepping stone to expand our market share for large equipment in emerging economies," an HD Hyundai Infracore source said.
