LG to launch StanbyME Go in North America, Europe

LG Electronics Inc. announced on Wednesday its plans to officially roll out its innovative portable screen, StanbyME Go, in North American and European markets.

Initially making waves in the domestic TV market, StanbyME Go is set to debut this month in North America and expand to major European countries next month, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Designed as a portable and flexible TV system, StanbyME Go features a 27-inch screen, a built-in stand, speakers, and a battery. Its style, like the "007" bag, allows the screen to be rotated horizontally or vertically, offering versatility for both indoor and outdoor settings.

"Since the global transition to the endemic phase, demand for travel and outdoor activities has surged," an LG Electronics source said. "StanbyME Go is positioned to meet the evolving needs of these consumers." 

Leading up to the launch, Overseas IT media have also expressed anticipation for the unique features of LG's StanbyME Go.

"I haven't seen a TV that you can carry around in its own suitcase," Digital Trends said. "This is one of those products that I truly cannot wait to experience and review firsthand," The Verge stated.

LG Electronics will showcase StanbyME Go at IFA 2023, Europe's largest trade show for home appliances which opens on September 1 in Berlin, Germany.
