Samsung Electronics Co. announced that it held the 2023 China Tech Seminar in Beijing, China, on Friday, unveiling the new TV and home appliance technologies for 2023.
Since 2012, South Korean electronics giant has organized tech seminars targeting major tech and lifestyle media outlets worldwide, introducing core TV technologies and services while gathering diverse opinions.
During the two-day tech seminar held from the previous day, Samsung also showcased bespoke home appliance technologies, including refrigerators, washing machines and dryers.
China tech seminar, which returned to an offline event this year following the pandemic, received significant industry attention with the participation of over 150 local major media outlets and business partners.
Samsung Electronics introduced various TV technologies such as upgraded picture quality for the 2023 Neo QLED 8K, 98-inch QLED, enhanced gaming experience, a matte display with the frame and smart calibration. The company also presented unique technologies centered around the popular AI technology of bespoke in the global market.
Bespoke washing machines and dryers featured AI Customized Washing and AI Customized Drying, which automatically determine the amount and contamination level of laundry and provide tailored washing and drying cycles. The appliances also recommend courses based on consumers' usage patterns through AI Customized Recommendations technology.
In addition, Samsung attracted significant interest in refrigerator technologies, including the ability to set temperatures in various modes for customized storage in a wide temperature range from -23°C to 4°C and fine temperature control technology that minimizes temperature fluctuations in the refrigerator and freezer to ±0.5°C.
Previously, Samsung Electronics held tech seminars in Germany in February and Australia in April.
