Samsung Electronics Co. on Tuesday said it will release in Korea the Odyssey Neo G7, its new 43-inch large-screen gaming monitor.
The monitor sports a flat design that supports 4K resolution of 3,840 X 2,160 with an aspect ratio of 16:9; quantum mini-LED, whose size is 1/40th that of conventional LEDs, is used as a light source. Samsung Electronics applied its self-developed picture quality know-how of quantum matrix technology.
The monitor also has a matte display verified for anti-glare by the global safety certification company UL. Samsung Electronics said the display offers an immersive gaming experience by minimizing screen brightness and color distortion caused by ambient light.
Built into the monitor is the streaming game platform link Samsung Gaming Hub, and cloud games can be played without separate device connection or download. Also installed are over-the-top streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and Apple TV, with no need to connect to a PC or TV.
The function of "flex move screen" allows adjustment of screen size from 20 inches to 43 depending on a game's traits, and screen location can also be modified as desired.
"The Odyssey Neo G7 is a product with major performance and functions on a large flat screen made through listening to the voices of customers who want a individually customized screen," Jeong Hun, senior vice president of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business, said,
