BTS 10th anniversary stamps to be issued on June 13

South Korea's state-run postal service agency Korea Post announced on Sunday that it will issue commemorative stamps on June 13, featuring the past ten years of the boy band BTS's history.

A total of ten types of stamps will be issued, with a print run of 1.5 million copies. Along with the stamps, commemorative stamp packets (250,000 sets) will also be on sale. The stamp packets will contain stamps featuring the portraits of BTS members.

The selling price is set at 7,770 won ($5.87) for the ten types of commemorative stamps, while the stamp packets will be priced at 20,000 won ($15.11). The on-site sales will begin at nationwide main post offices starting from the 13th of next month.

To enable citizens to conveniently purchase the commemorative stamps, Korea Post will undertake pre-sale services on the Internet for four days from May 22~25. The online pre-sale service will be available to customers who have signed up as members of the online Post Office, and membership registration for pre-purchase must be completed by May 21.

For international fans, online pre-sale services will also be available starting from June 1. The overseas online pre-sale service will sell a portion of the commemorative stamp packets and will be accessible only to overseas customers.

Debuting in June 2013 and sweeping domestic and international rookie awards, BTS has grown into the world's top group representing Korea and K-pop. They have achieved remarkable success not only on world-renowned charts such as the US Billboard, UK Official Charts, Spotify and Apple Music, but also in album sales, music video views and social media engagement.

In 2021, BTS became the first Korean mainstream artist to be nominated for the 63rd Grammy Awards and performed on a solo stage. They also won the prestigious "Artist of the Year" award at the 2021 American Music Awards.

In 2023, they were nominated for the Grammy Awards for the third consecutive year at The 65th Annual Grammy Awards. In addition, they have set a record as the first Korean artist to hold a solo performance at major US music award shows such as the Grammy Awards, American Music Awards and Billboard Music Awards.

"We consider it very meaningful to issue commemorative stamps with BTS, who are promoting K-pop globally," president of Korea Post Son Seung-hyun said. "We will make every effort to create commemorative stamps that are necessary and meaningful in the future."
