“BTS Forest” has been created in Seoul’s Nanji Hangang Park, South Korea’s largest music streaming service Melon announced on Wednesday.
BTS Forest was planned as one of the eco-friendly projects “Forest; treaming” promoted by Melon.
If you select the name of your favorite singer on the "Forest; treaming" page while listening to music with Melon's regular payment card, 2% of the payment amount will be accumulated every month.
When the accumulated amount reaches 20 million won ($15,000), it will be donated to Seoul KFEM and used to create a forest named after the singer in downtown Seoul.
In March, BTS became the first singers to accumulate more than 20 million won in "Forest; treaming" by fans.
Accordingly, Melon, Seoul KFEM and Seoul Metropolitan Government have decorated BTS forest in Nanji Hangang Park.
Fans and citizens can look around the forest if they visit the grass yard near the Nanji Information Center.
