Hankook Tire to supply exclusive tires for Formula E in India

Hankook Tire & Technology said on Friday that it will serve as the exclusive supplier and official partner of Formula E's 2023 Greenco Hyderabad E-PRIX, an electric vehicle only racing competition organized by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) which will be held in India.

It is the first competition in Formula E series history to be held in India. The Hyderabad Street Circuit, where the game will be held, is 2.8 kilometers long and includes 18 corners. It is near Lake Hussein Sagar, an Indian tourist destination renowned for its heart shape.

It will be a hot and humid weather exceeding 30 degrees Celsius in the middle of the day, and the daily temperature difference is large in the morning and night time, so racing tires that will perform consistently and best are important, Hankook Tire said.

Hankook Tire plans to further strengthen its’ status as a global premium brand in India starting with Greenco Hyderabad e-PRIX. Hankook Tire supplies racing tires or sponsors participating teams to more than 80 motor sports competitions around the world, including Formula E.

It exclusively supplied racing tires to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series, the Brazilian Stock Car Pro series, and the 24-hour series.
