Hankook Tire supplies tires to Nissan's new X-Trail SUV

Hankook Tire & Technology said on Tuesday it would supply its ultra-high-performance sports tire Ventus S1 evo³ SUV to Nissan's fourth-generation SUV X-Trail.

The South Korean company will provide the Ventus S1 evo³ SUV tire for all X-Trail vehicles produced and sold in Japan. Its Dynapro HP2 is also being supplied to the Rogue, the X-Trail's North American market model.

The Ventus S1 evo³ SUV tire is known for its best-in-class handling, grip, quiet, riding comfort, and braking performance achieved through cutting-edge tire technology.

By adding vertical grooves whose teeth mesh with each other to the outer grooves on the tire's surface, the tire prevents hydroplaning on wet roads and improves handling performance on both dry and wet road surfaces.

Moreover, through a dual design with different spacing patterns applied to the tire's inner and outer sections, noise is minimized and durability is enhanced through reinforced stiffness of the side blocks.

The Dynapro HP2, which will be provided to the Rogue in North America, is reported to deliver excellent driving performance optimized for SUVs, as well as high braking efficiency and extreme quiet.

Hankook Tire has maintained its strategic partnership with Nissan since 2013 by supplying tires for new vehicles that include the Frontier, Altima, Pathfinder, and Infiniti QX60.
