Korean Air to resume flight services on four European routes

Korean Air Lines Co. will resume operations on four European routes, including Prague, the Czech Republic, sequentially from March for the first time in three years after it suspended flights in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the company said on Friday.

South Korea's national flag carrier will start flights on the Incheon to Prague and Zurich routes at the end of March, and Incheon to Istanbul and Madrid lines at the end of April, three times a week, respectively.

The European cities where Korean Air will resume operations are representative cultural and tourism cities that have been frequently visited by many Koreans.

"Tourists can travel to Eastern Europe more conveniently by connecting with Incheon to Barcelona, Vienna, and Budapest routes for which we resumed services last year," a Korean Air official said.

Korean Air stressed that it will actively respond to the increasing demand for overseas travel and normalize passenger services in the wake of the post-COVID-19 era this year.
