Lotte Global Logistics establishes resource recycling platform in Korea

South Korea's Lotte Global Logistics has established a resource recycling platform across ten logistics centers.

The company has introduced the solution and expanded its application to as many distribution centers as possible after signing an agreement in 2021 with HRM Corporation, the developer of a resource circulation platform "Ecoya."

Ecoya performs integrated waste data management functions in the distribution centers, including tracking the status of all waste treatment processes, recycling rates and carbon reduction effects.

By leveraging the data collected through Ecoya, Lotte Global Logistics aims to establish a virtuous cycle system for logistics center resources, promoting transparency in waste management, increasing recycling rates and developing subsidiary materials for eco-friendly recycling logistics.

In addition to improving its eco-friendly logistics capabilities, Lotte Global Logistics is also exploring new businesses, such as waste resource distribution and external resource recycling solutions.

According to an official at Lotte Global Logistics, the virtuous cycling of resources will significantly contribute to the company's corporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) management.

The company plans to promote resource recycling and eco-friendly business through the establishment of an integrated eco-friendly logistics solution in the future, in addition to its own ESG management efforts.
