Samsung SDS Co. announced on Thursday that it has become the first company in South Korea's IT service industry to receive the ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its artificial intelligence (AI) management system.
The ISO/IEC 42001 is an international standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) to ensure responsible AI management.
In South Korea, the certification is issued by the Korea Standards Association (KSA).
KSA evaluated Samsung SDS's AI services, including FabriX, Brity Copilot, and Brity Automation, assessing AI management policies, systems, and risk management.
The certification acknowledges Samsung SDS's compliance with global standards in AI product development, service operation management, and the ability to manage AI ethics risks responsibly.
