South Korea's Samsung SDS Co. introduced a supplier relationship management (SRM) solution at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium 2024 in Orlando, Florida, the US, the company announced on Thursday.
The SRM is software as a service (SaaS) accessible via the web, designed to assist in materials, parts, labor, and services necessary for product production.
The solution supports all stages from partner discovery and assessment to procurement planning and risk management.
It features a cost prediction AI that enables the management of component costs from the development stage of new products.
In the mass production stage, the SRM aids suppliers alongside supply chain planning. Samsung SDS targets automotive and high-tech companies in North America with this solution.
The Gartner Supply Chain Symposium, attended by about 4,000 professionals from over 100 companies worldwide, is the largest supply chain management event globally.
Additionally, on May 2, Samsung SDS launched Fabrix, a generative AI service platform.
This cloud-based platform integrates sales, procurement, logistics, and management support data with generative AI to assist employee usage.
Also introduced was Brity Copilot, which provides real-time interpretation or subtitles during video conferences by recognizing the speaker’s voice and generating meeting minutes.
This service builds on the previously offered Brity Works, now enhanced with AI.
