South Korea’s Fashion Group Hyungji and China’s largest clothing exporter Dishang Group signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to team up for clothes market development and production.
According to the group on Tuesday, the MOU signing ceremony was held at the headquarters of Dishang Group in Weihai, Shandong Province, China. CEO of Fashion Group Hyungji Choi Jun-ho, and Chairman of Dishang Group Zhu Lihua attended the event.
Established in 1993, Dishang Group is China’s biggest manufacturer and exporter of apparel and textiles. Last year, the revenue of this group was 3.4 trillion won ($2.6 billion) through businesses such as original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and original development manufacturers (ODM).
Under the MOU, the two groups will share information on the fashion and fabric industry, jointly promote market development, and co-work for marketing.
“Our Group expects that this cooperation will help us strengthen our competitiveness and contribute to the textile and fashion industries of South Korea and China,” Chairman Zhu said.
