South Korea's LG Energy Solution Ltd. announced on Thursday that it achieved ISO 37001 certification, an international standard for anti-bribery management systems, demonstrating its commitment to preventing corruption and strengthening its reputation for ethical business practices.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) established ISO 37001 to define requirements and guidelines for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving a systematic and effective anti-bribery management system.
This certification recognizes LG Energy Solution's efforts to evaluate and manage corruption risks, establish anti-bribery policies, and implement preventive measures through education and monitoring.
Companies that obtain this certification can minimize legal and financial risks through a systematic anti-bribery system, thereby enhancing stakeholder trust and corporate value.
In November 2021, LG Energy Solution was the first in the battery industry to obtain ISO 37301, an international certification for establishing an effective compliance management system.
