SK Geo Centric Co., South Korea's chemical firm, has received the globally recognized "GRS" certification for its eco-friendly polymers, the company announced on Tuesday.
The GRS certification, granted by the global certification agency Control Union, recognizes products that contain at least 20% recycled materials and can trace their usage history.
SK Geo Centric's polymers, which are made from recycled raw materials, have now achieved this status.
Polymers, commonly used in the production of various plastic products including vinyl, packaging containers, home appliances, and automotive components, have seen a growing demand for eco-friendly alternatives.
"With the GRS certification, we are now well-positioned to meet these global standards and potentially increase its exports of polymer products," said an SK Geo Centric official.
