South Korea's SK Group next month will display an extended range of carbon-reducing products and technologies at CES 2023, the world's largest exhibition of home appliances and IT held in Las Vegas.
The conglomerate said on Sunday that eight subsidiaries and 10 US-based partners will attend the event from Jan. 5 to 8 and run a joint exhibition hall set around the theme, “Together in Action, Jointly Advancing Toward a Carbon-free Future.”
SK Inc. and affiliates SK Innovation Co., SK E&S, SK Hynix Inc., SK Telecom Co., SK Eco Plant, SKC and SK Biopharmaceuticals will participate. The US partners that will attend, such as TerraPower, Plug Power and Plastic Energy, have investment or other cooperative ties with the group.
SK Group, which declared a goal to cut global carbon emissions by 1% at CES 2022 last January, announced "Companion" as the theme at this year's CES exhibition hall, to convey the message of "joining the journey toward carbon reduction." Next month at CES, it will promote to a global audience the technological capacity and commitment to carbon reduction of the conglomerate's "net zero" global alliance comprising SK affiliates and partners.
At CES 2023, SK Group will unveil more than 40 eco-friendly products and technologies including electric vehicle batteries; high-efficiency semiconductors; waste-to-energy energy conversion; carbon capture, utilization and storage; small module reactors (SMR) and urban air mobility (UAM).
