Samsung to unveil budget phone Galaxy A25

Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Thursday that it will launch the Galaxy A25 5G, a new budget phone in the South Korean market on Jan.5.

It features the Exynos 1280 from the company's System LSI Business Division as its application processor (AP), which acts as the phone's brain.

The new phone boasts a 6.6-inch Super Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (AMOLED) display, offering an impressive maximum 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness of 1,000 nits.

Additionally, the smartphone features a Vision Protection Feature to minimize blue light exposure, helping to protect users' eyesight.

The rear setup includes a 50-megapixel main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Video Digital Image Stabilization (VDIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The front-facing camera is 13 megapixels, ideal for high-quality selfies and video calls.

The Galaxy A25 5G is powered by a substantial 5,000mAh battery, supporting up to 25W of wired charging, promising extended usage times.

For storage, the phone offers 128GB of internal memory, which can be expanded via a micro SD card up to 1TB, providing ample space for apps, photos, and videos.

In terms of security, the smartphone incorporates Samsung's proprietary Knox Vault platform, a chipset-based security feature that safeguards personal data like passwords, biometric information, and authentication keys in a separate, secure physical space.
