Coupang Inc., South Korea’s largest e-commerce platform, said on Wednesday that it has launched "Rocket Pet Doctor 2.0," an upgraded personalized nutrition service for pets, as part of its strategy to tap into the growing premium pet care market.
Rocket Pet Doctor offers pet owners customized food recommendations based on veterinary and nutritional insights.
Customers input their pet's profile—such as age, weight, and medical history—into the system, and veterinarians deliver a detailed health management report and food suggestion within 10 minutes.
First introduced in May 2023, Rocket Pet Doctor has already attracted hundreds of thousands of users.
The upgraded version enhances health surveys and includes pre-screening for disease-specific diets, functional food for joint and eye health, and improved palatability for picky eaters.
Coupang has also added more nutrition-specialized veterinarians to its platform and expanded its integrated pet food brands from 9 to over 40, broadening consumer choices.
Rocket Pet Doctor is available for free through the pet supplies category on the Coupang app.
