Hyundai E&C, Naver Cloud to develop futuristic healthy housing model

South Korea's Hyundai Engineering & Construction (E&C) on Thursday announced its signing of a deal with Naver Cloud on cooperation in the development of a futuristic housing model incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) and healthcare technology.

Under their agreement, both companies will joint look for and apply Hyundai E&C's self-developed life care services such as an AI-based health management platform exclusively for the company's apartment complexes and resident-tailored healthcare solutions.

Hyundai E&C will adopt an AI healthcare platform to analyze the results of residents' genetic tests and health checks, real world data and indoor environmental conditions to provide personalized health management solutions and suggest a comfortable living environment.

Residents of All Life-care House, an innovative futuristic model of healthy housing under development by Hyundai E&C, receive healthcare services based on AI-analyzed data.

The services include wellness solutions that manage diet, exercise, mental health and sleep, quick response in a medical emergency, and healthy living programs that create an optimal environment by controlling temperature and humidity.

In addition, Hyundai E&C will apply Naver CLOVA CareCall, an AI-based phone care service, to Voice Home, a built-in voice recognition system that the company is developing, to create healthcare services tailored for each age group.

Based on indoor environment data collected by sensors in residential spaces, Hyundai E&C's patented ventilation system can control such an environment in a customized fashion.
