South Korea's Hyundai Engineering Co. announced on Wednesday that it partnered with Trimble Solution Korea to co-develop a building information modeling (BIM) process management program to enhance productivity at construction sites through advanced 3D modeling technology.
BIM is a smart construction technology that converts traditional two-dimensional drawings into dynamic three-dimensional models.
Trimble Solution Korea brings its expertise in 3D BIM technology to the partnership, promising to elevate the standard of construction process management.
The collaboration will focus on creating a comprehensive BIM process management program.
This program is designed to optimize the management of steel structures and precast concrete construction, promising substantial productivity gains on construction sites.
As part of the agreement, Hyundai Engineering will adopt the co-developed BIM process management program in some of its projects, offering critical feedback based on its operational experience.
The aim is to harmonize and standardize on-site process management tasks while consolidating pertinent data for more efficient project execution.
Leveraging Hyundai Engineering's insights, Trimble Solution Korea will refine and tailor the BIM program to meet the specific needs of Hyundai Engineering's projects, ensuring a perfect fit for the company's operational characteristics.
Hyundai Engineering is optimistic that introducing this cutting-edge program will significantly enhance construction efficiency by shortening project timelines and reducing costs, marking a notable improvement over traditional construction methods.
