Hyundai Motor to exceed 100 mn cumulative sales in 2024
The achievement will come 56 years after S.Korea's largest automaker began selling cars in the country in 1968

Hyundai Motor Co. 's cumulative vehicle sales are expected to surpass 100 million units this year since it started 56 years after the launch of car sales in the domestic market in 1968.
According to the automotive industry on Monday, Hyundai Motor sold 97,026,331 vehicles in the global automotive market, including South Korea until last year.
Given the company's sales target for this year is 4,243,000 vehicles, it is expected to exceed 100 million units in September or October. Hyundai Motor's sales volume last month was 316,000 units.
Hyundai Motor started domestic and overseas sales in 1968 and 1976, respectively. Its sales exceeded one million units in 1986. In 2013, it surpassed 50 million units and in 2022, it exceeded 90 million units.
The best-selling car by Hyundai Motor since its founding is the Avante (export name Elantra). As of last year, the cumulative sales of the Avante were 15.13 million units, the highest among all models released by Hyundai Motor.
