South Korean medical AI company Lunit has secured a significant partnership with tech giant Samsung Electronics Co., signing a three-year, $1.86 million contract to supply two of its cutting-edge AI solutions.

This deal represents a substantial 17.7% of Lunit's 2022 revenue, showcasing the immense potential of this collaboration.

Under the contract, Lunit will supply its chest X-ray AI imaging analysis solution, "Lunit Insight CXR," and its emergency disease AI automatic classification solution, "Lunit Insight CXR Triage," to Samsung Electronics.

Samsung Electronics plans to install Lunit AI solutions on its premium mobile and fixed X-ray imaging devices and sell them in major overseas markets.

These solutions will be integrated into Samsung's premium mobile and fixed X-ray imaging devices, targeting major overseas markets.

The two companies have their sights set on North America (including the US and Canada) and Europe, with plans to expand further into the Middle East, South America and Southeast Asia.

"This partnership with Samsung Electronics, a leader in premium X-ray imaging devices, opens a remarkable opportunity to grow our global market share together," said Suh Beom-Seok, CEO of Lunit.
