LG CNS starts corporate knowledge management service

South Korean information and communications technology service provider LG CNS has launched a service for finding useful knowledge and data within a company through generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).

LG CNS on Tuesday said its Knowledge Management Service (KMS), which was developed in cooperation with Microsoft of the US and targets external corporate clients, allows a company to apply AI in-house.

KMS removes the hassle of searching for the person in charge or checking multiple internal systems when questions arise during the work process, obtaining solutions within seconds through a GenAI search.

The service applies GPT-4 from Microsoft’s Azure Open AI Service to focus on learning a company’s internal data only and producing answers.

Reception of entire documents is also possible with a solution, including the source and content of a response. If in-house data cannot produce answers, external knowledge is used to get them.

LG CNS said its self-developed Orchestrator, a technology with a function to prevent external information leaks, analyzes a company’s internal data.

Thus its management and employees use KMS to search for and implement useful knowledge from some 520,000 pages of data.

The company also announced its development of BRAINS, a Web 3.0-based knowledge market for compiling knowledge data and utilizing the know-how and experience of experts within an organization.

This market allows a company’s executives and staff to upload their knowledge in a range of fields for purchase using online coins.
