LG CNS, the information technology service arm of LG Group, announced on Wednesday that it has developed an artificial intelligence (AI)-based code generation solution called AI Coding.
LG CNS is applying AI Coding to multiple in-house systems, including procurement systems and contract management systems, as well as next-generation distribution and logistics systems for external clients and system building for LG affiliates. The technology is built on the company's proprietary AI Coding Orchestrator and ChatGPT.
The Orchestrator technology connects large language models (LLM), including ChatGPT, with customer data to provide answers to users. This addresses the limitation of ChatGPT, which is trained only on publicly available data and lacks knowledge of specific corporate data.
The AI Coding solution also incorporates features to prevent information leakage, a major concern when utilizing ChatGPT. For example, in the financial industry, even if personal information such as customer names, birth dates, and asset sizes is accidentally entered, the Orchestrator detects and masks the information to prevent it from being exposed externally.
One of the key features of AI Coding is its ability to perform various functions such as code transformation, code generation, code recommendations, and code quality inspection according to developer requirements.
It supports coding in system development environments like Java or C language and adapts to system operation environments such as on-premise and cloud.
However, AI Coding requires skilled developers who can understand the generated code and detected errors to assess its suitability and achieve optimal results.
