Hoban partners with Kakao, Bear Robotics for robot-based services

Hoban Construction Ltd. announced on Friday that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) with Kakao Mobility and Bear Robotics to standardize the operating environment of indoor delivery robots and jointly develop specialized robot-based services.

With this agreement, Hoban Construction plans to standardize the design environment suitable for robot driving and support the environment for robot service demonstration.

This will pave the way for the introduction of robot services in various business sites such as apartment buildings and resorts.

Kakao Mobility will utilize its open API (application program interface) platform to connect various ordering services to robots and support seamless interaction to expand robot-based services.

Bear Robotics will apply the latest technology to advance robot hardware and driving solution technology and develop efficient service operation solutions.

In addition, the three companies will jointly develop new technologies such as technical standards, operating procedures, security policies, and data management methods for specialized robot-based services.

“This agreement lays the foundation for providing innovative robot-based services. The three companies will work together to develop convenient and differentiated robot service solutions,” said Hoban Construction official.
