Lotte Fine Chemical Co., a subsidiary of South Korea's Lotte Chemical Corp., said on Friday that it signed a Clean Ammonia Value Chain Agreement (JCA) with Japan's largest power generation company, JERA Co. the previous day.
Under the agreement, the two companies will cooperate to optimize the overseas clean ammonia supply chain, establishing low-carbon fuel standards for both countries and expanding the value chain.
This is part of the initiative that began in June when the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy and Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry established a working group to develop a clean hydrogen and ammonia supply chain, aiming to strengthen private sector cooperation in the clean hydrogen field.
Lotte Fine Chemical is leveraging its position as the leading ammonia distribution infrastructure in Asia and its global network to collaborate with various international companies.
