MyRealTrip launches overseas lodging booking service

Travel app MyRealTrip said Wednesday that it is launching an overseas hotel booking service that allows users to search, book, and pay for more than 600,000 accommodations worldwide.

Until now, the company's overseas lodging booking services have been carried out through a partnership with Booking.com, but recently it started providing its own services by designing a proprietary system. Travelers can now use MyRealTrip as a one-stop service for flights, lodging, tours, and rental cars.

MyRealTrip offers all members a special discount of up to 20% on popular accommodations across the world. To celebrate the launch of the overseas hotel reservation service, a discount coupon of up to 100,000 won ($79) will be given away for a month and a promotion with an additional 5% discount upon payment will be underway.

Earlier in November last year, the company enlisted Cho Hyun-ah, who had worked in tech giants such as Yahoo, Google, and Twitter, as director of the lodging business to beef up its hotel booking services. It plans to open a membership program to provide richer and more diverse benefits to customers this month.

"Transaction volumes of overseas travel offerings, which were our main business, are already growing rapidly beyond the pre-COVID pandemic level. We will do our best to provide the best service to satisfy our customers' needs," said Director Cho.
