A-SPICE, a global standard for evaluating the reliability and development processes of automotive component software, ranges from Level 0 to Level 5.
Companies must achieve at least Level 2 to supply European automakers.
Level 3 certification signifies that a company’s software development processes are systematically and organizationally managed, aligning with automakers’ highest standards.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics' certified software includes temperature control functionality to ensure stable camera performance in harsh conditions, including heavy rain, extreme heat, and freezing temperatures.
The company plans to supply its automotive camera modules equipped with the A-SPICE Level 3-certified software to global automakers.
