LG Uplus launches customized solution for cultural facilities

South Korea’s telecom service provider LG Uplus Corp. has released a solution that identifies the interests and movements of exhibition visitors based on communications data.

The company on Wednesday said it launched Culture Plus, which analyzes visitor patterns at cultural facilities using artificial intelligence and communications data.

Culture Plus analyzes the movements of visitors by type while they view an exhibition. It covers not only their reactions to such a display but also the viewing behavior of their companions.

Another function allows targeted marketing through the use of a visitor’s residential area and cultural consumption history.

The company said cultural facilities can use the solution when analyzing exhibition performance or planning strategy for other displays.

The service targets cultural facilities like exhibition halls and museums nationwide. LG UPlus plans to expand use of Culture Plus by collaborating with national, public and private galleries like the Independence Hall of Korea in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, and Ground Seesaw in Seoul.
