LG Uplus Corp. on Monday said it released Miri View, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based elevator passenger safety system developed with Hyundai Elevator Co..
The two companies since January have jointly developed the system. When an emergency occurs in an elevator, an AI-based CCTV recognizes it and informs the elevator’s location and internal video to Hyundai Elevator‘s customer center.
For the service, LG Uplus supplies elevator monitoring apps, AI CCTVs and LTE communication networks to Hyundai Elevator, which oversees sales, installation and service operation.
LG Uplus will expand supply of Miri View to industrial sites after distributing it to hospitals, geriatric facilities, hotels and residential-commercial complexes.
