POSCO ICT Co., the IT services subsidiary of South Korean steelmaker POSCO Holdings Inc., announced on Sunday that it will rebrand itself as POSCO DX beginning next month. The move is aimed at positioning itself as a leading player in the digital transformation of various industries.
Following the rebranding, POSCO DX plans to accelerate growth in areas such as industrial robot automation and smart logistics automation.
Under CEO Jeong Deok-kyun, who took office in 2021, POSCO ICT has actively disposed of non-performing businesses and focused on improving profitability across all sectors, enabling the company to successfully enter the 1 trillion won ($886 million) sales club last year.
The name change was approved at a board meeting on Feb. 17 and will be finalized at a regular shareholders’ meeting on Mar. 20.
