Point2 Technology to supply network cable solutions to Amazon

Point2 Technology, which specializes in high-speed communications solutions, said on Wednesday that it has signed a network cable solution supply contract with Molex Electronic Solutions, the No. 1 data center network company in the United States.

Molex plans to deliver Point2 Technology solutions to data centers run by Amazon, the world's largest e-commerce operator. The precise export and delivery volume have not yet been disclosed.

"This is a product that reduces power consumption by about 70% and manufacturing cost by more than 80% compared to existing optical cables. We have unrivaled technology in the rapidly expanding high-speed network solution market," said an official of Point2 Technology.
