Tech experts to discuss future mega-trends at KIF 2022

The Korea Investment Festival (KIF), the largest annual investor relations (IR) event in South Korea, will be held June 29-30 at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, hosted by The Korea Economic Daily and NH Investment & Securities Co. and this year’s theme is “Mega-tech for the future.” The conference will mark the biggest event in KIF’s five-year history with 37 speakers including 12 chief executive officers of the Korean tech industry.
On June 29, Hanwha Systems’ CEO Charlie SC Eoh will kick off the first session, discussing the company’s aerospace business, urban air mobility and low-earth orbit satellites. Choi Sung-hyun, executive vice president of Samsung Electronics, and Daniel Dongyuel Lee, executive vice president of Samsung Electronics, will respectively introduce the company’s AI and 6G network businesses. William Jung-hoon Ryu, CEO of Doosan Robotics, and Han Jae-kwon, a professor and Hanyang University, will speak on the future of the robotics industry.
In the afternoon sessions, Lee Kyung-il, CEO at Saltlux, Chung Sang-won, CEO at ESTsoft, and Eric Jang, CEO at DeepBrain AI, will outline the future of AI humans. Kang Chan-ho, CEO of Unmanned Solution, and Christopher Chang, Next Mobility Labs director at Kakao Mobility, will share their thoughts on the next-generation mobility businesses.
On June 30, the conference will cover the impact of digital transformation on various markets. Park Young-jun, director at Dunamu, will outline the future of digital assets. Yang Maeng-seok, vice president of SK Telecom, will speak on the company’s metaverse business visions. Giantstep CEO Lee Ji-chul and d’strict CEO Sean Lee will share their opinions on digital content and design innovations.
Separately, the event will hold a round-table for some of the speakers, IR professionals and fund managers. Participants will be from Hanwha Systems, SK Telecom, Kakao Mobility, Giantstep, WeMade, Balaan, Saltlux, ESTsoft and DeepBrain AI, including some these companies’ CEOs.
