South Korea's Hyundai Steel on Tuesday said it launched the e-commerce platform Hcore Store on a pilot basis to boost domestic sales of steel materials and obtain digital sales channels.
The site sells construction materials such as rebars, section steel and pipes, with product purchasing and price estimates available during the trial period. Its nationwide sales network comprises some 70 storage areas along with around 50 participating partner distributors.
From July, Hyundai Steel will officially run the site by collecting user opinions and supplementing details before expanding sales to plate materials.
"Hcore Store's interface features intuitive terminology and simple design considering user convenience as the top priority, so product inventory status by region is viewable at a glance," the company said.
At the store, a range of customized functions for customers is available like product comparison purchasing and price estimates.
