Hyundai Heavy to propose its ocean vision in upcoming CES 2023

Hyundai Heavy Industries Group will participate in CES 2023, the world's largest information technology trade show, to showcase its maritime strategies and growth engines for a sustainable future.

The company announced on Thursday that it will present "Ocean Transformation" as its vision in the meaning of fundamentally changing the perspective on the sea and the way it is used at CES, which will be held in Las Vegas from January 5 to 8 next year.

Hyundai Heavy Industries Group's participation in CES is the second time after this year.

The 590-square-meter group pavilion consists of four themes: ocean mobility; ocean wise; ocean life; and ocean energy.

In the area of ocean mobility, it shows the future ship as a means of transportation that enhances safety and fuel economy based on unmanned, remote control digital solutions, energy-saving technologies, and eco-friendly low-carbon fuel propulsion solutions.

The ocean wise area will disclose a marine data platform for optimizing maritime transportation networks, such as smart ship solutions that recommend optimal navigation routes by combining maritime data from ships, shipping companies, and ports.

There are also areas on ocean life, which include the concept of extending living space to the sea through technology that enhances stability and convenience, as well as the new use of the sea through various new technologies in the ocean energy field, which shows the vision of a sustainable energy ecosystem from marine energy production to transportation and utilization.

An official of Hyundai Heavy Industries said, "For sustainable future growth, it is essential that we realize the infinite potential of the sea, a precious resource for mankind." "In the upcoming trade show, our company will present a future vision based on 50 years of experience and differentiated technical prowess," he added.
