South Korea's Lotte Mart and Lotte Super will introduce a grocery-focused app, Lotte Mart Zeta, in the first half of next year to expand its digital grocery services.
The company revealed its plan on Tuesday at the 2025 Lotte Mart and Lotte Super Partners Day event held at Lotte World Tower in Seoul.
Lotte Mart recently absorbed the online grocery division from Lotte On and took over a high-tech logistics center project in collaboration with the UK's Ocado.
The Busan Customer Fulfillment Center, an automated facility using Ocado's technology, is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2026.
Lotte Mart plans to establish six such centers by 2032 to strengthen its foothold in the online grocery market. Additionally, new physical stores are planned for Guri and Cheonho in Seoul.
