South Korea's Hyundai Premium Outlet announced on Tuesday that it will trial the artificial intelligence (AI) service AI Human at its Songdo store until August 18 to enhance the shopping convenience of foreign customers.
This service, developed in collaboration with generative AI specialist DeepBrain AI, offers conversational support in English, Chinese, and Japanese.
By scanning a QR code attached to places with high foreign customer traffic, such as service lounges, a virtual staff member appears to assist customers.
When foreign customers ask questions about in-store brands, major promotions, restaurants, cafes, tax refunds, and parking, the AI provides voice answers with images and text on the screen.
AI Human also provides tailored shopping information for foreign customers. It features introductions to top brands with high foreign sales and useful information about promotional events targeting foreign customers on the main screen.
