HDC IPark Mall opens S.Korea's first Nintendo pop-up store

South Korea’s HDC IPark Mall has opened Japanese game giant Nintendo’s first official pop-up store at the Yongsan location in Seoul from Oct. 20 to Nov. 26.

The pop-up, symbolizing Nintendo's initial direct-operated storefront in Korea, is aptly named Seoul. It promises an exclusive showcase, featuring limited edition merchandise previously unreleased in the country.

Visitors can anticipate an array of over 400 original game merchandise, spanning popular titles such as Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Animal Crossing. Exclusive to this pop-up is a unique themed collection that celebrates iconic Nintendo characters.

In a bid to cater to varied consumer preferences, the store will also house a selection of items currently in high demand in Japan. This includes Super Mario-inspired home accessories, fashion wear, and a broad assortment of over 100 household goods.

Notably, targeting the female demographic between 20s and 30s, the pop-up will present an extensive range of more than 900 Animal Crossing-themed products.

Additionally, products from the upscale Japanese apparel brand Gelato Pique will grace the shelves, accompanied by limited-run specialty items.

The gaming aficionados aren't left out either; the venue will feature a gaming experience zone, accentuated by a grand 115-inch display screen.
