The S.Korean online shopping platform plans to team up with Chinese state-owned cultural enterprise for content IP products

NHN Commerce to collaborate with China's Shanhai Digital

NHN Commerce, South Korea's major online company NHN Corp.'s online shopping platform, announced its strategic business agreement with ShanHai Digital to expand global commerce business related to content IPs.

ShanHai Digital is a state-owned enterprise under Beijing Wenchuangban Development Co., responsible for implementing financial policies for Chinese cultural enterprises, and holds significant influence in the domestic visual media market.

Specifically, as the operating entity of the China Film Foundation, the organizer of the Golden Rooster Award, known as China’s Oscar, it directly executes the foundation's film digital industry development fund.

The two parties plan to jointly develop collaboration products combining the movie and famous celebrity IPs owned by ShanHai Digital, and various cultural IPs owned by Beijing Wenchuangban Development with global brands distributed by NHN Commerce.

In particular, they plan to introduce collaboration products and NHN Commerce's distribution brands to the market through promotional marketing utilizing celebrities attending the Golden Rooster Award Film Festival held in November this year and major media.

Additionally, the products will be actively distributed in China through broadcasts by influencers of Xinxuan, a representative live commerce company in China, with whom a recent business agreement has been signed.
