South Korea's TV and online shopping operator Home & Shopping Co. announced on Friday that it has signed a business agreement with the Japanese company TV Shopping Laboratory (Teleken).
Established in 1969, Teleken is a leading TV home shopping company in Japan, achieving an annual revenue of 200 billion won ($152 million) in 2021, making it the top infomercial company in the country.
Home & Shopping aims to make its first export to Japan through this business agreement with Teleken. The Korean company plans to further expand its export volume through sustained collaborative efforts in the future.
"This provides an opportunity for entering the challenging Japanese market with high-quality products from small- and medium-sized enterprises," a Home & Shopping source said. "We will continue our endeavors to pioneer foreign markets and provide support for overseas expansion of such enterprises."
