Hyundai Motor launches global talent recruitment program

South Korea’s top automaker Hyundai Motor Co. has launched a global talent recruitment program, beginning April 1 via its official hiring website.

According to the company, the global recruitment drive comprises three programs: an internship for foreign students in Korea; an overseas undergraduate and master’s internship; and a recruitment for overseas Ph.D. graduates in science and engineering.

The internship for foreign students in Korea is open to international students who have already obtained or are set to obtain a bachelor's or master's degree at a domestic university by Feb. 2026. This program covers four sectors: research and development (R&D); production and manufacturing; business planning; and corporate support.

The overseas undergraduate and master’s internship is for individuals who have already earned or will earn their degrees at an overseas university or international institution by June 2026. Hyundai will be recruiting interns in five areas: R&D; manufacturing software; quality control; cybersecurity; and business planning.

Selected candidates in both internship programs will be placed on a five-week program during July and August, with top-performing interns receiving job offers as new employees.

Hyundai’s recruitment program for overseas Ph.D. graduates targets candidates who have already earned or will earn a doctorate in science and engineering by Aug. 2026. The hiring spans seven fields: artificial intelligence and data; battery technology; hydrogen fuel cells; smart factories; robotics; advanced air mobility (AAM); and cybersecurity.

For overseas Ph.D.-level candidates, Hyundai will conduct document screening in May and first-round interviews in June.

In August, successful first-round candidates will be invited to Korea for an in-depth exchange with current employees and industry experts, providing an opportunity for technical discussions and networking within their respective fields.

The program will also include a tour of Hyundai’s Namyang Research & Development Center, as well as participation in a Hyundai Tech Seminar, culminating in final interviews.

“To enhance our global competitiveness, Hyundai Motor is committed to actively securing talent with both potential and expertise,” said a Hyundai official.
